Meet Our Staff

Dr. Skrabalak – Founder

Dr. S grew up in Johnson City, NY and married his high school sweetheart in 1977. He and Linda have two grown children and five wonderful grandchildren. Dr. S received his BS in 1977; his MS in 1981; his PhD in 1984 and his DVM in 1986 (all degrees from Cornell University). Dr. S has published peer-reviewed scientific papers around the world. He became an American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine and Feline) in 1998 after rigorous testing. He has since been recertified twice through 2028.

Linda – Co-Founder

Linda grew up in Johnson City, NY and married Dr. S in 1977. Linda and Dr. S have two grown children and five wonderful grandchildren. She has managed the practices since 1989.

Dr. Elmore – Associate Veterinarian

I graduated from St. Bonaventure with a B.A. in business administration. After a few years, I decided to go back to school and pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian. After graduating from Binghamton University, I applied to vet school and later graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. I currently have 6 cats and 1 dog. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my young son and daughter, as well as doing as much as possible outside as weather permits.

Dr. Corcoran – Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Corcoran joined VMC in May 2005 after graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completing her clinical year of training at Cornell University. Prior to pursuing her true calling in veterinary medicine, Dr. C earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and had a career in banking in NYC. Dr. C lives in Binghamton with her husband David, a physical therapist, and their four dogs and nine cats. In her free time, Dr. C enjoys hiking, yoga and traveling.

Dr. Labrecque – VMC Medical Director

Dr. Labrecque received her DVM from Cornell University in 1993. She worked in northern Pennsylvania for 5 years before moving to the Southern Tier. She became a board certified specialist in Canine and Feline practice in 2001, and joined Veterinary Medical Center in 2003. When she is not busy at VMC, she is busy at home with her husband, daughters and large extended close-knit family.

Mitch – Head Licensed Veterinary Technician

I have been working here at the Veterinary Medical Center since 1998. I am a licensed veterinary technician. I went to tech school at SUNY Delhi and then furthered my education by getting a Bachelor degree in business from SUNY Binghamton. I have been married since 1997 and have one son. I also have a golden-mix named Leah. I was born and raised and still reside here in the Southern Tier. I enjoy my job and I take pride in my work. It’s a very satisfying feeling in helping all of the animals we see at VMC.

Allene – Licensed Veterinary Technician

I am a happily married mother of 2 humans and a proud Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a variety of pets at home. My family and I love reading, playing games and appreciating life together! I have been a veterinary technician since 1998 and am currently both a LVT in NY and a CVT in PA. While always striving to learn something new, I love caring for all of our wonderful patients, whether furry, feathered, finned or scaled, and their owners.

Kathie – Licensed Veterinary Technician

My name is Kathey. After retiring from my job of teaching developmentally challenged individuals, I returned to college to become a Vet Tech. My husband and I have five children, three dogs and a number of cats.

Lee Ann – Adjunct Veterinary Assistant

Sam – Kennel Manager/Property Supervisor

I am Sam, yes, Sam I am. My career here at VMC began March 2006. I have made many new friends, both two and four legged, while managing our boarding kennels. My sweetheart of over 17 years and I also operate our own construction business, Mark Brown Construction. Along with all our kennel pets, I care for my own bunch of pets which include dogs, cats, mini horses and even a mini goat. Any free time is spent training and spoiling my pets. I also love some REAL bluegrass music (especially banjo). I absolutely adore my God-babies and try to spend as much time as I can find to enjoy watching them grow up.

Mary – Front Office Supervisor

I have been working at Veterinary Medical Center since 2010 as a customer service representative. I previously worked at Dick’s Sporting Goods for 25 years. I have been married since 1992 and have 2 children. I have lived in the Endwell area my entire life and now have a dog named Rex and a grand-kitty named Molly. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.

Connie – Front Office

I have been working at VMC as a customer service representative since August 2018. I’m married with 3 Newfoundlands (Izzie, Hemi and Timber). I have loved animals my whole life.

Mindy – Front Office

I am happily engaged and blessed with two beautiful children. I have been a veterinary assistant at VMC since 2015. Growing up, I’ve had numerous animals which inspired me to choose a path in the veterinary field. I love working with animals and making sure they are healthy and safe. I have a Labrador Retriever and 3 kitties of my own.

Dominica – Front Office/Veterinary Assistant

I have been a part of the VMC family as a customer service representative since November 2018. I have carried a passion for animals and their care since I can remember. I’m excited to see where this career path takes me. I have a pup named Maly and I enjoy outdoors activities as well as spending time with family and friends.

Mary V. – Licensed Veterinary Technician

I’m the proud fur-mother of my tuxedo kitty Loki, who I raised and bottle fed since he was 4 weeks old. I graduated with a degree in veterinary science from SUNY Delhi in May 2015. I started as a License Veterinary Technician at VMC in 2015.

Macy – Licensed Veterinary Technician

I have been with VMC since the fall of 2017 after moving from Utica NY. I graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2015 with an associates in veterinary science and Canisius College in 2017 with a bachelor’s in animal behavior, ecology and conservation. I have 3 cats (Milo, Nemo and Misty) and look forward to meeting and caring for your pets.

Raelene – Veterinary Assistant

I have 15 Newfoundlands. I show, breed and rescue Newfoundlands. I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for since 2006. I love anything to do with the outdoors, including fishing and riding motorcycles. I shoot in 22 caliber rifle competition with my dad and placed first in our league. I’ve been working at VMC since early 2018 and love helping animals.

Alex – Veterinary Assistant

I have worked at VMC since 2017. I have a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Cornell University and am exploring what career path my major may take me. I like to stay active in my time outside of work, whether that be walking my dog or going on weekend road trips and exploring new places. I have very much enjoyed working a VMC and the friendships I’ve made, both human and animal.

Susann – Practice Manager

I worked for Veterinary Medical Center and Binghamton Animal Clinic 12 years ago. After being a stay at home mom for both of my kids, I decided to return to what I love doing most. I have always had a huge place in my heart for animals. I love spending time with my big family of 5 animals, 2 children and my husband.
